A dial lets you select the required cooking program quite easily, however what we feel a drawback of Power XL is the cooking programs aren’t labeled instead it has icons which you will find pretty confusing to understand at first. However, after experimenting for few days, one gets used to of it.

Instant Vortex on the other hand says that it has presets for chicken wings, roasted veggies, cinnamon buns and more but we found none on the cooking menu during our testing. You have to manually set the time and temperature.

On the other hand, instant vortex only comes with air frying basket, a cook & crisp plate and user manual.

The accessories are nonstick coated and dishwasher safe hence cleaning is a breeze. If someone doesn’t own a dishwasher, soak the accessories in warm soapy water for a while and clean them off with fresh tap water. Thanks to nonstick coating, food doesn’t stick to the surface which makes cleaning more convenient.

Cooking Performance

Upon testing in our kitchen, we found out that instant vortex did well on frozen French fries, brussels sprouts and chicken wings. Needing just about 12-15 minutes breaded chicken came out perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

On the other hand, Power XL air fryer did well but we found some inconsistency in temperature and uneven cooking on breaded chicken, but French fries came out perfectly cooked and delicious. Instant vortex air fryer has better score and better performance in comparison to power XL air fryer.
